Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser information, to help detect spam.
An anonymized string of characters created from your email (also called a hash) may be sent to Gravatar to check if you are using the service. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes publicly visible alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download these images from the site and extract location data from them.
Cookies
When you leave a comment on the site, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

How Long We Keep Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
